This internship is available for a length of between 3 and 6 months, starting on any date between 18 January and 30 April 2027. If you are not available during this period, there may be Summer or Fall Internships available, which open in September 2026.

About the DWS Internship  

The DWS Internship offers a unique and exciting opportunity to gain a wide range of practical experiences through individual projects, speaker sessions and networking events. With strong support from mentors and managers, you will be challenged to grow while gaining valuable insights into the world of Asset Management. This is an excellent way to determine whether a career in Financial Services & Asset Management meets your personal aspirations.    

Subject to performance, successful interns may be offered a place on the DWS Graduate P.A.C.E. Program the following year. 

About the Team

The Traditional Investments Division at DWS covers Active Asset Classes (e.g., Equity, Fixed Income & Cash, Multi Asset) as well as the Passive business. Leveraging the outstanding knowledge of our experts located in EMEA, the US, and APAC, we have outperformed the competition many times and created value for our clients.

The Traditional Investment Division is looking for interns in the following areas:

  • Equities
  • Fixed Income
  • Multi – Asset

As a DWS intern, you will:

  • Support the team in implementing diverse investment strategies in our portfolios
  • Collaborate with immediate colleagues and the entire DWS investment platform
  • Contribute to innovations in investment process and products
  • Support with client communication and participation in pitches  
  • Draft own research notes and formulate investment ideas

The Team is looking for:

  • Advanced English language skills; German skills are beneficial but not required
  • Very good Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)  
  • Coding skills (preferably Python) are a plus, but not required. Interest in learning and using technology to support investment decision-making is essential
  • Strong communication skills and a client-oriented mindset
  • Strong analytical skills with a structured workstyle
  • High proactivity, flexibility, reliability, and ability to think outside the box
  • Keen interest in capital markets, prior experience is not required
  • You must meet all core and role eligibility requirements

Eligibility

  • Advanced English language skills; German skills are beneficial but not required.
  • Bachelor student graduating in 2027 or 2028 OR Master student graduating in 2028, OR Gap year between your bachelor and masters degree.
  • Less than 12 months of full-time relevant work experience (excluding internships).
  • Availability for a full-time 3 – 6 month internship; see start date for more details.
