This internship is available for a length of between 3 and 6 months, starting on any date between 18 January and 30 April 2027. If you are not available during this period, there may be Summer or Fall Internships available, which open in September 2026.

About the DWS Internship  

The DWS Internship offers a unique and exciting opportunity to gain a wide range of practical experiences through individual projects, speaker sessions and networking events. With strong support from mentors and managers, you will be challenged to grow while gaining valuable insights into the world of Asset Management. This is an excellent way to determine whether a career in Financial Services & Asset Management meets your personal aspirations.    

Subject to performance, successful interns may be offered a place on the DWS Graduate P.A.C.E. Program for the following year.

The Active Product Team is looking for interns in the following areas:

  • Product Specialist - Multi Asset
  • Product Strategy & Business Development
  • Product Solutions & White Label

As our DWS Intern, in the Multi Asset team you will:  

  • Expand your knowledge about capital markets across all asset classes and client channels by working side-by-side with our portfolio managers and sales colleagues   
  • Understand the unique investment requirements of our clients by supporting the team to develop customized institutional portfolio solutions  
  • Dive deep into DWS’ Multi Asset flagship funds by grasping their investment dynamics through various market phases  
  • Support the strong momentum of our Active Institutional franchise and learn about the key distinctions of each client channel  

As our DWS Intern, in the Product Strategy & Business Development team you will:

  • Contribute to the Product Pipeline: Identify the Active product pipeline and reporting of Active product suite including target setting, prioritization and regular challenge.
  • Drive Strategy Development: Contribute to shaping the Active Product Strategy by deriving actionable insights from data and aligning them with regional specifics.
  • Support Strategic Decision-Making: Support business decisions across asset classes and regions.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with Product Specialists, Client Coverage, Corporate Strategy and Finance teams to ensure strategic alignment and support.  
  • Prepare Presentations: Create high-quality presentations for senior management and internal committees.

As our DWS Intern, in the Product Solutions & White Label team you will:

  • Support the development of innovative investment solutions: Work alongside Active and Passive Product & Sales Specialists, Portfolio Managers, Product Management and Structurers to help design, enhance and position discretionary portfolio management (DPM), financial planning and white label investment solutions.  
  • Contribute to product initiatives across the lifecycle: Support fund launches, product enhancements and strategic initiatives, gaining insights into how investment solutions move from concept to implementation and distribution.  
  • Support White Label and Private Label partnerships: Gain exposure to partner-branded fund solutions, product development processes, distribution models and Management Company (ManCo) structures.  
  • Support strategic growth initiatives: Contribute to projects related to private pensions, digital investment journeys, product innovation and new business opportunities across DWS’s Solutions and White Label platform.
  • Gain exposure to client interactions and market developments: Participate in product pitches, market updates and internal discussions, developing a comprehensive understanding of asset management, investment solutions and distribution strategies.  

All Teams are looking for:  

  • Advanced German (C1) and advanced English language skills  
  • Strong skills in MS Office tools  
  • Team player with a curious mind  
  • Keen interest in financial markets and portfolio strategies; prior experience is not required
  • You must meet all core and role eligibility requirements

Eligibility

  • Advanced German (C1) and advanced English language skills.
  • Bachelor student graduating in 2027 or 2028 OR Master student graduating in 2028, OR Gap year between your bachelor and master’s degree.
  • Less than 12 months of full-time relevant work experience (excluding internships).
  • Availability for a full-time 3 – 6-month internship; see start date for more details.
