This internship is available for a length of between 3 and 6 months, starting on any date between 18 January and 30 April 2027. If you are not available during this period, there may be Summer or Fall 2027 Internships available, which open in September 2026.

About the DWS Internship  

The DWS Internship offers a unique and exciting opportunity to gain a wide range of practical experiences through individual projects, speaker sessions and networking events. With strong support from mentors and managers, you will be challenged to grow while gaining valuable insights into the world of Asset Management. This is an excellent way to determine whether a career in Financial Services & Asset Management meets your personal aspirations.    

Subject to performance, successful interns may be offered a place on the DWS Graduate P.A.C.E. Program the following year. 

About the Team

Join our Product Management team and help shape the future of asset management. You will benefit from strong support from mentors and managers, gaining valuable insights into DWS and the end-to-end asset management value chain. Product Management operates as one integrated team across products, regions, and structures, covering the full product lifecycle from initial setup to ongoing lifecycle events. We translate client needs into scalable, implementable solutions and ensure a fit-for-purpose path to market. Our approach combines strong governance, high data quality, and consistent processes with the flexibility required to manage increasing complexity. By partnering closely across functions, we enable efficient execution while continuously enhancing scalability through standardization, automation, and a strong ownership mindset.

As our DWS Intern, you will:

  • Understand the full product lifecycle in asset management, from product implementation to client onboarding and regulatory product and legal documentation
  • Develop expertise in products (e.g. UCITS, AIFs) and their regulatory, tax and governance frameworks
  • Gain insights into regulatory product and legal documentation for products and mandates
  • Build project management capabilities, working on cross-functional product initiatives with teams across DWS
  • Learn how to design and automate, optimize and scale processes, including the application of AI and digital tools in a regulated environment
  • Develop data expertise by ensuring product data quality, ownership and effective use across the full product lifecycle

The Team is looking for:

  • Intermediate German (B1/B2) and advanced English language skills
  • Good MS Office, Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Structured and independent working style
  • Empathetic, as dealing with different characters
  • Good communication skills
  • You must meet all core and role eligibility requirements

Eligibility

  • Intermediate German (B1/B2) and advanced English language skills.
  • Bachelor student graduating in 2027 or 2028 OR  Master student graduating in 2028, OR Gap year between your bachelor and masters degree.
  • Less than 12 months of full-time relevant work experience (excluding internships).
  • Availability for a full-time 3 – 6 month internship; see start date for more details.
