This internship is available for a length of between 3 and 6 months, starting on any date between 18 January and 30 April 2027. If you are not available during this period, there may be Summer or Fall Internships available, which open in September 2026.

About the DWS Internship  

The DWS Internship offers a unique and exciting opportunity to gain a wide range of practical experiences through individual projects, speaker sessions and networking events. With strong support from mentors and managers, you will be challenged to grow while gaining valuable insights into the world of Asset Management. This is an excellent way to determine whether a career in Financial Services & Asset Management meets your personal aspirations.    

Subject to performance, successful interns may be offered a place on the DWS Graduate P.A.C.E. Program the following year. 


About the Team

Private Corporate Credit Team is a key growth pillar of the EUR 115bn DWS Alternatives franchise. The Private Corporate Credit platform aims to build diversified portfolios across Direct Lending, Leveraged Loans Capital Solutions and Structured Credit that deliver attractive risk-adjusted returns with a focus on capital preservation to a broad spectrum of investors including governments, corporations, insurance companies and private clients. 

As our DWS Intern, you will:

  • Support the process of finding and screening new investment opportunities across Europe and assist in the evaluation of such companies 
  • Assist in the due diligence and acquisition process for new investments 
  • Learn about the commercial assessment and other merits of investment opportunities based on analysis of the risk and return fundamentals 
  • Learn about and assist in the construction and review of financial models 
  • Assist in the management and supervision of existing investments, working closely with senior management teams and other members of the DWS team on business planning, company investment projects and commercial opportunities 
  • Support monitoring and reporting of investments to clients 
  • Assist and learn about fundraising for future investment funds 

The Team is looking for:

  • Advanced English language skills. German and additional European languages are beneficial but not required.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, attention to detail and ability to work quickly to a high standard are all valuable skills 
  • Good Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Keen interest in financial markets, prior experience is not required
  • You must meet all core and role eligibility requirements

Eligibility

  • Advanced English language skills, German skills are beneficial but not required.
  • Bachelor student graduating in 2027 or 2028 OR Master student graduating in 2028 OR Gap Year between your bachelor and masters degree.
  • Less than 12 months of full-time relevant work experience (excluding internships).
  • Availability for a full-time 3 – 6 month internship; see start date for more details.
