This internship is available for a length of between 3 and 6 months, starting on any date between 16 March and 30 April 2027. If you are not available during this period, there may be Summer or Fall Internships available, which open in September 2026.

About the DWS Internship 

The DWS Internship offers a unique and exciting opportunity to gain a wide range of practical experiences through individual projects, speaker sessions and networking events. With strong support from mentors and managers, you will be challenged to grow while gaining valuable insights into the world of Asset Management. This is an excellent way to determine whether a career in Financial Services & Asset Management meets your personal aspirations.    

Subject to performance, successful interns may be offered a place on the DWS Graduate P.A.C.E. Program the following year. 

About the Team

The DWS Chief Investment Office (CIO) serves as the central coordination unit within of our investment platform, uniting the expertise of our global network of investment professionals to produce a consistent and comprehensive economic and market outlook—our "CIO View." This perspective is developed in close collaboration with portfolio managers across all asset classes, as well as with teams from compliance, marketing, and communications. Our goal is to provide our clients, internal stakeholders, and the broader public with well-informed, timely perspectives on key political, economic, and financial market trends.

As our DWS Intern, you will:

  • Support the global CIO View generation process, including coordinating inputs across asset class teams and regions to ensure a consistent house view
  • Assist in the preparation and organization of meeting materials related to the CIO View process
  • Conduct background research on macroeconomic developments, financial markets and asset classes to support ongoing analysis and content creation
  • Source and analyse financial market data using tools such as Bloomberg, and integrate data into presentations and reports
  • Contribute to the preparation of presentations and publications reflecting our assessment of the current market environment and outlook
  • Create and update charts and data-based materials in Excel and PowerPoint, ensuring consistency and accuracy across deliverables
  • Support process improvements and explore opportunities for automation and the use of AI in our workflows

The Team is looking for:

  • Advanced German (C1) and English language skills
  • Economic/finance knowledge  
  • Ability to quickly learn and adjust to new tasks or changes in the work environment
  • Team players eager to contribute to a global and collaborative team environment
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Strong MS Office skills (Excel and PowerPoint)
  • You must meet all core and role eligibility requirements

Eligibility

  • Advanced German (C1) and advanced English language skills
  • Bachelor student graduating in 2027 or 2028 OR Master student graduating in 2028, OR Gap year between your bachelor and masters degree
  • Less than 12 months of full-time relevant work experience (excluding internships)
  • Availability for a full-time 3 – 6 month internship; see start date for more details
