This internship is available for a length of between 3 and 6 months, starting on any date between 14th February and 30 April 2027. If you are not available during this period, there may be Summer or Fall Internships available, which open in September 2026

About the DWS Internship  

The DWS Internship offers a unique and exciting opportunity to gain a wide range of practical experiences through individual projects, speaker sessions and networking events. With strong support from mentors and managers, you will be challenged to grow while gaining valuable insights into the world of Asset Management. This is an excellent way to determine whether a career in Financial Services & Asset Management meets your personal aspirations.    

Subject to performance, successful interns may be offered a place on the DWS Graduate P.A.C.E. Program the following year. 

About the Team

The Investment Solutions team consists of seven portfolio management teams who focus on translating investment challenges into customized portfolio solutions. Investment Solutions design tailored quantitative & systematic strategies (e.g. single security and multi asset portfolios, including alternative asset classes). Furthermore, a holistic institutional and outsourced CIO solutions is a key offering and covers the whole investment value chain.

As our DWS Intern, you will:

  • Learn about the day-to-day business and the value proposition of each portfolio management team in Investment Solutions
  • Support projects related to both strategic initiatives in a portfolio management context and efficiency enhancement
  • Support with client pitches and structuring customized portfolio solutions
  • Help construct, monitor and report on funds and portfolios

The Team is looking for:

  • Advanced German (C1) and advanced English language skills
  • Basic knowledge of asset management value chain and asset classes
  • Strong interest in overall institutional investment solutions, prior experience is not required
  • Good communication and organizational skills
  • Proactive and driven attitude
  • Quantitative and programming skills (especially Python or VBA) are advantageous but not required
  • You must meet all core and role eligibility requirements

Eligibility

  • Advanced German (C1) and advanced English language skills.
  • Bachelor student graduating in 2027 or 2028 OR Master student graduating in 2028, OR Gap year between your bachelor and masters degree.
  • Less than 12 months of full-time relevant work experience (excluding internships).
  • Availability for a full-time 3 – 6 month internship; see start date for more details.
