Start Date  

Internships in Germany are between 3 months and 6 months long. You must be available for the entire internship duration.  

You can apply for one of three seasonal intakes: Spring, Summer or Autumn. Each intake offers a flexible start date within the timeframes listed below. The internship end date can be outside the timeframe.

  • Spring Intake Start Dates: January 1 – April 30, 2026  
  • Summer Intake Start Dates: May 1 – July 31, 2026  
  • Autumn Intake Start Dates: August 1 – December 31, 2026

About the Team

The Product Management team drives success globally by advising on and implementing product events timely and efficiently, with our partners across DWS. We ensure this by promoting sound governance as well as agile and entrepreneurial engagement.  

We manage product launches and ensure regulatory compliant product documentation and processes.  We also manage product platforms and product changes along its life cycle and use technology for efficient processes and high-quality data. Finally, we govern our products and processes to achieve competitive time-to-market for our distribution partners and clients.

Our team supports institutional clients in their journey to come on board and maintain the efficient and regulatory compliant setup and documentation, for tailored products and solutions.

As our DWS Intern, you will:

  • Work on structuring and launching new investment funds
  • Assist with onboarding new institutional clients and mandates 
  • Be involved in change initiatives and gain access to our variety of trainings
  • Develop and improve process design and project management skills 
  • Learn about the whole value chain of an asset manager and get involved with several different functions within DWS

The DWS Internship offers a unique and exciting opportunity to gain a wide range of practical experiences through individual projects, speaker sessions and networking events. With strong support from mentors and managers, you will be challenged to grow while gaining valuable insights into the world of Asset Management. This is an excellent way to determine whether a career in Financial Services & Asset Management meets your personal aspirations. Subject to performance, successful interns may be offered a place on the DWS Graduate P.A.C.E. Program the following year.

Eligibility

  • Intermediate (B1/B2) German language and advanced English skills (Management)
  • Currently studying for a bachelor's or master's degree and in your penultimate or final year of study, OR on a gap year between your bachelor's and masters degree
  • Less than 12 months of full-time relevant work experience (excluding internships)
  • Availability for a full-time 3 – 6 month internship; see start date for more details
  • Knowledge of another language is beneficial but not required
  • Good communication and presentation skills, also in context of senior management
  • Familiarity with change and project management
  • Familiarity with processes, data and AI capabilities (experience with using AI, prompting skills) as well as with process automation
