Start Date  

Internships in Germany are between 3 months and 6 months long. You must be available for the entire internship duration.

You can apply for one of three seasonal intakes: Spring, Summer or Autumn. Each intake offers a flexible start date within the timeframes listed below. The internship end date can be outside the timeframe.

  • Spring Intake Start Dates: January 1 – April 30, 2026  
  • Summer Intake Start Dates: May 1 – July 31, 2026  
  • Autumn Intake Start Dates: August 1 – December 31, 2026

About the Team

The Product COO teams are looking for interns in the following areas:

  • EMEA COO
  • Legal Documentation Management

About the EMEA COO Team

Our team consists of diverse profiles. We mainly take care of managing the work environment, from buildings to internal actions for employees. As a member of our team, you will gain an overall view of the company's backdrop as well as get insight into the different DWS divisions and their main tasks.

As our DWS Intern, you will:

  • Support the "KAIROS" initiative, which aims to reorganize and renovate the office space of DWS and to renew and further develop the work environment and culture.
  • Maintain a general overview of the remaining tasks of the construction project, as well as your team's to-do list, to ensure that nothing is overlooked.
  • Support the team by regularly walking through the office spaces, noting any oddities and minor issues, reporting them, and following up on them until these problems are resolved.
  • Assist with a variety of diverse tasks (e.g. furnishing the office space, organizing internal events, supporting ad-hoc team projects)

About the Legal Document Management Team

The Legal Documentation Management - Mutual Funds Team is responsible for conducting regulatory required approval procedures for actively managed German and Luxembourgish mutual funds of DWS. In this context, the team is also responsible for creating and publishing the legally required fund documentation (sales prospectuses and PRIIPs KIDs). Another focus of the team is on the global registration of the funds for public distribution.

As our DWS Intern, you will:

  • Perform fund registrations and maintenance of registrations in Europe, Asia and South America
  • Be involved in the production and distribution of PRIIPS KIDs for all European distribution countries  
  • Support the creation and distribution of fund prospectuses  
  • Be involved in standardization and automation projects

Eligibility

  • Fluent (C2) German and advanced English skills; ability to work with legal documentation in both languages (Legal Documentation Management intern only)
  • Currently studying for a bachelor's or master's degree and in your penultimate or final year of study, OR on a gap year between your bachelor's and masters degree
  • Less than 12 months of full-time relevant work experience (excluding internships)
  • Availability for a full-time 3 – 6 month internship; see start date for more details

  • Good MS Office, Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Structured and independent working style
  • High degree of initiative, commitment, goal orientation, and flexibility
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
